Our investigation has found that Longyang Zhixian (Qinghai) Co. Ltd.’s fish farm in Qinghai is China’s largest salmon producer, yielding roughly 15,000 tons annually by late 2025 and accounting for 98 percent of the country’s salmon exports. Longyang Zhixian has said its brand was the first domestically produced Chinese salmon approved for export to Europe. Between 2023 and 2024, its export value increased tenfold, reaching markets across Europe, East Asia, and Russia.
