We understand that Parlevliet & Van der Plas B.V. is the ultimate owner of the trawler, FV Margiris. The vessel was reportedly seen fishing in Mauritanian waters in 2021, according to a Greenpeace press release dated March 24, 2021, which said that the vessel was “targeting small pelagic fish already heavily overfished in West Africa and vital to food security of millions of people in the region.”
